The Challenge

A large enterprise client in the healthcare industry had an extensive library of manual test cases but lacked the technical resources to automate them. The client needed a solution that would allow non-technical stakeholders — including product managers and business analysts — to create and maintain test scenarios without writing code, while still producing robust, executable automation underneath.

The Approach

  • Advised on and developed a BDD-style, language-agnostic framework that decoupled test scenario authoring from the underlying automation code, enabling no-code test creation
  • Built a C# and Selenium-driven execution engine that reads simplified BDD scenarios housed in accessible spreadsheets, translating business-readable steps into automated browser interactions
  • Converted the client's entire manual test suite into the new framework, establishing a baseline of automated coverage across critical healthcare workflows
  • Enabled product management and business stakeholders to directly author and contribute additional test scenarios using the spreadsheet-based interface alongside development and QA teams

The Outcome

Dramatically increased test coverage by opening up scenario creation to the entire product team. Product managers, developers, and QA engineers all contributed test scenarios directly, removing the bottleneck of requiring dedicated automation engineers for every new test case and accelerating the pace of quality validation.
